About Me

Whether the dance floor is at a club, corporate event, private function or even a boat, DJ Willy is sure to get everyone in the place moving and grooving to the rhythm of his beats. With a unique style that gets people’s hands clapping, their feet stomping and everyone singing along, every time is a great time when he gets behind the decks. With superb blending beats and technical abilities to wow, DJ Willy will turn every event into a memorable one. And with over 20 years in the DJ trade, he has perfected the old technology and embraced the new to make him one of the most versatile DJ’s out there.

SHARED THE STAGE

Worked with several local artists such as REDDANGEL, COOLFUNK, TKZee and SEMISANE, along with opening for the likes of FRESHLYGROUND, GOLDFISH, THE DIRTY SKIRTS, KAREN ZOID, KURT SCHOONRAAD and THE RUDIMENTALS at the Official FIFA Fanjol during the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

MUSICAL INFLUENCES

I come from a musically inclined family, so my musical influences covers a very broad spectrum. A few of them range from The Beatles early Rock & Roll bands to 70’s funk to 80’s pop to slow jams to R&B and Hip Hop. I also love watching musicians perform live especially local artists and DJ’s. Some international artists I enjoy listening to are Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. My DJ icons are DJ Qbert, D-Styles, Jazzy Jeff, Craze and DJ Ready D
